A Tribal Fusion Choreography - the 3rd installment of Lava's choreography to "Lost Children" by Solace!!
I absolutely love creating choreography, and even more! (even as much as I love performing it!) - sharing it!
This workshop will focus on learning a brand new tribal fusion choreography, and it's techniques involved. It's an opportunity to learn and practice new ways of moving, that may feel foreign to our styling, but add so much to our capabilites as dancers.
This will be part 2 or 3 (for some) for instruction of this choreography, so we will be touching on the beginning quickly but thoroughly, and leaving time to add the remainder of the dance, plus practice for performance quality.
*(still open to those who have not taken any of it, as long as you don't mind the quick confirmation of the dance steps learned so far - the toughest part is training your body to move in this style - transition with ease!)
The music is beautiful, the moves feel great when mastered, and it's fun to tackle new stuff together. A lovely grounding dance to conquer!
This choreography will include some Odissi-inspired moves/combos and a few of the Odissi practice steps. Plus, some of my favorite tribal fusion movements - blended to the soothing Solace song "Lost Children" (from Opium Head cd)
This workshop is for all levels of experience - since I think that's what some workshops can be great for - pushing yourself forward, by trying out new things. (trust me, everyone felt 'brand new' to the styling - challenged, yet excited enough to want to master it!)
This will also be open to any style of bellydance, since it will be another opportunity to learn some fusion!
